An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate or Partner to join one of Exeter’s most prestigious Law Firms in their Corporate department.

The main purpose of the role would be to lead the continued development of a dedicated corporate practice in the Exeter office, whilst supporting and being part of a wider high-performing national corporate practice.

Corporate Senior Associate/Partner responsibilities include...

  • Managing corporate matter of varying sizes and complexity including mergers, acquisitions and disposals private equity transactions, joint ventures, corporate finance, corporate real estate, reorganisations, restructurings and some general commercial work
  • Leading and supervising the existing team
  • Expanding the provision of corporate and commercial services regionally
  • Building effective relationships with clients and market intermediaries
  • Leading and proactive participation in individual, team and office based business development initiatives
  • Participation in firm-wide and departmental meetings, training sessions and social events, including travelling to internal meetings or attending via video link and generally ensuring the team is fully integrated with the wider Firm department
  • Assisting with the training and development of junior staff
  • Delegating client work effectively to junior fee-earners as appropriate
  • Contributing effectively to department and firm wide performance goals
  • Ensuring all files are managed in compliance with Lexcel standards

  • A strong academic record
  • To be a qualified solicitor with relevant PQE advising in a broad range of corporate/commercial matters
  • Experience gained from a leading regional City practice
  • Ability to manage files independently

The salary on offer will depend on level of experience but is above market rate and comes with a highly attractive benefits package.
