The company supplies to many big-name brands across the UK and has earned itself a fantastic reputation. This is an excellent opportunity for a Category Buyer to join a market leader with great opportunities for progression within their organisation.  

Category Buyer responsibilities include...

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of the company supplier strategy for purchasing
  • Review, benchmark and compare purchasing prices
  • Work with suppliers to ensure the optimal products, prices and payment and delivery terms are achieved
  • Working alongside the Project Managers to effectively meet sourcing briefs
  • Network with internal stakeholders to ensure business priorities and goals are set out and achieved

Category Buyer requirements include...

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience in strategic sourcing and management of suppliers
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to handle pressure
  • Teamwork and IT skills
