Our client is a dynamic and innovative marketing consultancy based in Exeter. They are expanding and are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. They are looking for a person with a proven track record in generating new business along with experience selling within a marketing background. Your role will be to seek out new business opportunities, arrange your own meetings and drive for new sales. The ideal candidate will have worked in a Business Development role within a marketing company.

  • Developing and managing an effective sales strategy and activity
  • Managing the sales process end to end from prospecting to closing, including the production of proposal and pitch documents
  • Researching a target audience to develop relations with key prospects and generate qualified appointments
  • Creating a CRM database to include your network of prospects and inbound sales opportunities
  • Reporting to management on the prospect pipeline and new client progress

  • A motivated self-starter taking personal ownership for delivering sales targets
  • Experienced at identifying and closing face-to-face sales with senior decision makers
