Business Development Manager

Our client is looking for a self-motivated salesperson to seek and obtain new business for its marketing consultancy business. The successful candidate will identify potential customers and seek to convert them into new customers. Sales are to be self-managed and generated within the corporate processes and support systems in place. Growth is sought primarily across the South West. Proven sales experience is essential, within a professional services environment preferable but not crucial.

Business Development Manager responsibilities include...

  • Developing and managing an effective sales strategy and activity
  • Managing the sales process end to end from prospecting to closing, including the production of proposal and pitch documents
  • Researching a target audience to develop relations with key prospects and generate qualified appointments
  • Creating a CRM database (Zoho software) to include your network of prospects and inbound sales opportunities
  • Reporting to management on the prospect pipeline and new client progress
