A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Manager and Business Development Executive to join a fast paced and dynamic team in Plymouth. Whilst there is an emphasis on sales and attracting new clients to the business, this is very much a consultative role, where you will be building and maintaining long term relationships within your sector. Working closely with the BDM, this is varied and demanding role which requires much more than pure sales skills alone. 

Business Development Executive/Account Manager responsibilities include...

·         Driving the acquisition of new customers through identifying and converting new opportunities

·         Prospecting, planning and forecasting

·         Demonstrating knowledge and passion for your product through your consultative approach

·         Analytical Account Management to maintain and develop existing client relationships

·         Pursuing enquiries and inbound traffic generated by marketing and the in-house BD team

·         Support and contribute to the review and development of the sales strategy

·         Detect and convert sales opportunities through quality prospecting

·         High degree of accuracy in the data capture and administration

·         Review and manage lost and lapsed business

·         Conduct regular in-depth client account reviews

·         Deliver exceptional customer service

·         Regular reporting and analysis on performance and productivity

·         Assist in the day to day supervision of the administration team

·         Contribute to the delivery of the online marketing strategy

Business Development Executive/Account Manager requirements include...

Your previous experience within a consultative sales role will have given you the foundation on which to build your career within business development. The ideal candidate will have previous work experience within commercial construction, housebuilder, or IT solutions, and be a natural relationship builder with the ability to get to know clients and influence them in a professional and credible manner. Previous exposure to working with procurement, completing PQQ’s, managing Tender processes would also be advantageous.
