Associate Media Director - Cathedral Appointments are seeking a driven and experienced Media professional to join a UK top 20 integrated communications group. The company is located away from the big city life in the beautiful region of North Devon, with beaches and countryside on their doorstep. Our client requires a competent media professional to drive company expansion and profit growth by developing effective media strategies. The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate the delivery of the company’s TV, radio, OOH, and Digital buying teams, alongside leading a team of media planners. 

Associate Media Director responsibilities include...

  • Holding a clear and thorough understanding of clients’ business, products, markets, and audiences
  • Developing appropriate strategic and tactical solutions to business challenges
  • Having confidence in holding sole responsibility for the development of the media communications strategy
  • Leading and monitoring all daily media activity on the account
  • Working with account teams to ensure that media is well integrated with creative and strategic outputs
  • Developing and managing vigorous campaigns to ensure a drive for learning, effectiveness, and ROI performance
  • Managing and training a small team of media planners
  • Creating financial forecasts and supplying budget updates to the Media Director
  • Taking responsibility for identifying creative and innovative media opportunities
  • Holding regular meetings with media owners to maintain and develop relationships and gather market intelligence 
  • Driving business growth: leading new business tenders and pitches, and identifying and developing new media specific business opportunities

Associate Media Director requirements include...

  • Experience of developing strategic media products
  • Excellent understanding of the media industry, and of all media channels both on and off line
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve great results
  • A confident individual who can build strong relationships with clients
  • Strong written, presentation, and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and assimilate information quickly, with excellent numerical skills
  • Full working knowledge of all software tools required for the role: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Brad, Mediatel, TGI (Choices), and Nielsen AdDynamix.
