Area Parts Manager

Advise and guide Parts Trade Dealer and Parts Hub management with regards to sales performance, staff motivation and marketing initiatives. This will include attending management meetings and monitoring/reviewing sales and performance KPIs. 

Work with Parts Trade Dealers and Parts Hub management to grow and develop their trade business by agreeing strategic action plans. This will include understanding the financial aspects of their business and being able to encourage best practice and suggest improvements, which will in turn increase Parts Sales and Dealer profitability. 

Issue annual and monthly sales objectives in line with centrally provided guidelines and encourage Dealers to implement PSA campaigns and initiatives,

Area Parts Manager responsibilities include...

  • Preparing a business case which will enable the Dealer to visualise the associated return on investment.
  • Continually understanding and driving forward the new parts sales performance of each Dealer versus objective by monitoring and analysing sales for the month and campaign period.
  • Ensure that the Dealers achieve the standards listed under the Trade Parts Programme.
  • Ensure the compliance of the Parts Hub with their obligations under the Contract Criteria and Service Level Agreements with Authorised Repairers.
  • During the implementation phase of the New Parts Distribution Strategy, ensure that the Network of Trade Dealers continues to achieve the necessary objectives for trade parts sales and margin.

Work closely and in collaboration with the relevant Parts Hub and Service Operational Teams to ensure that the Parts Hub are achieving the required service levels to enable all Authorised Repairers to achieve their objectives in terms of Workshop Activity and Customer.

Area Parts Manager requirements include...

- In-depth knowledge of Parts & Service activity.

- An excellent understanding of Dealer Composite/Management Accounts and Profitability essential.

- A comprehensive knowledge of the UK aftermarket essential.

- Experience in process improvement and coaching for improvement desirable. - Good IT skills are essential.
