Cathedral Appointments are seeking an experienced administrator to join a global Engineering business on a full-time basis in Somerset. The role is varied, providing admin support to all aspects of the Research and Development department. 

Administration Assistant responsibilities include...

  • General administration: assisting with purchasing, contractual, and technical administration.
  • Specific administration duties include: assisting with purchase orders, obtaining quotations and engaging in negotiation, monitoring deliveries and invoices, tracking documents and contracts with universities and other services, collecting data pertaining to the company’s competitors, and producing reports for circulation within the company.
  • Maintaining communications with the company’s global departments in Japan, North America, Europe, Asia, and China.
  • Conducting analysis based on existing procedures to generate technical reports for Engineers. 

Administration Assistant requirements include...

Candidates should have previous experience working in an administrative capacity, a positive and proactive approach to work, and excellent organisational and communication skills. Good IT skills are essential, including Microsoft Word and Excel. 

Due to location candidates must be able to drive and have access to a car.
