Accounts Assistant – this is a fantastic opportunity for an established business working in Exeter. 

Accounts Assistant responsibilities include...

  • Assist in month end accounts preparation
  • Sage responsibilities including inputting sales invoices, sales ledger bank receipts and checking and inputting purchase invoices
  • Assist in P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Monitor debit memo’s and credit memo’s, monitor the receipt of credits and chase up if necessary
  • Assist in internal control over stock movements. Check pricing on purchases & 3rd party purchases
  • Match delivery notes to supplier invoices
  • Monitor company pricing and performance
  • Answer accounts phone calls
  • Respond to accounts emails, resolving queries or re-directing them to the right people

Accounts Assistant requirements include...

  • AAT part or fully qualified would be desirable
  • Strong experience working within a finance/accounting role
  • Confident, personable and enthusiastic
  • Accurate with a great attention to detail
  • Sage experience would also be beneficial
