    Technical Support Engineer

    Job Description: My client is based on the outskirts of Exeter and are currently going through a stage of growth. They have invested heavily in new equipment and have extended their facility in the last 18 months. As part of their growth and to meet client demand they are looking for an experienced technical professional to provide the support and advice needed to customers. The primary focus of this position will be the development of new business by applying an up to date knowledge of the latest materials for a variety of established applications and new opportunities. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director and will assist in the practical development and type approval of materials that are produced. You will also work closely with the sales team and manufacturing departments providing technical solutions to clients. In order to succeed in this position and hit the ground running you will need to offer a background in either materials science or chemistry, therefore a Degree in either of these disciplines in essential. You will offer excellent problem solving skills and will ideally have a background within manufacturing, ideally with composites. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to make a difference to a business and who is happy to travel overseas to liaise directly with customers.

    Job Description: Quality manager required by my client which will work directly with Senior Managers to support business wide objectives. This position is responsible for managing a team in a high paced manufacturing environment and is responsible for a wide range of functions including : - • Promoting and implementing quality and continuous improvement throughout the organisation. • Advising on quality assurance system changes. • Working with Purchasing and Supply Chain staff to establish quality requirements and ensuring these are communicated through to suppliers. • Participating and developing new projects, ensuring all quality requirements are met. This is a key role within the business and requires an experienced quality manager who offers a proven background working within an engineering environment. Knowledge if Six Sigma, ISO 9001:2000a and experience in quality auditing is a must. Please note that there will be a certain amount of travel required for this position both within the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate for this position will offer a proven background in a Purchasing Manager role where they have gained international purchasing experience and man management. You will also be CIPS qualified, offer strong commercial experience and have the ability to develop strong leadership skills. Experience of working within the automotive industry would be an advantage.

    Job Description: My client is going through an exciting stage of growth and they are looking to expand their design team in order to further explore new markets with their products. The main purpose of this position is to design and develop new products in order to meet market demand ensuring that cost, quality and safety are at the forefront of all designs. The successful candidate will project manage each design from concept, through to develop bills of materials, standard operating procedures, liaising with suppliers and creating instruction for use within production. You will offer a proven track record working within a similar role, be motivated, with a natural flair for creativity and detail. Excellent problem solving skills are required in addition to the ability to work within a pressurised environment. A Mechanical Design qualification at HND or Degree level is essential as well as knowledge of Solidworks.
