Cathedral Appointments were established in 1988. The founder Directors had previously worked for a high street agency and decided to set up a business that would enable them to offer a more thorough and flexible recruitment solution for South West businesses. The offices opened for business on the 8th August 1988 in Gandy Street with no furniture, no vacancies and no applicants. Within two months they had furniture, applicants, vacancies and even a part-time secretary!
The company's reputation and client base grew and a move to bigger premises took place in 1990. This was closely followed by a recession. Cathedral Appointments were one of the few recruitment agencies to survive the recession. When the economy started to pick up and businesses started to recruit again, Cathedral Appointments ensured they were able to meet the demand, by offering tailored and flexible recruitment solutions.
Cathedral Appointments have four specialist divisions each with dedicated and qualified consultants who know their sectors and the local market inside out.
